Yes. I specialise in one-to-one, tailored tutorials for upper-intermediate to advanced English learners.

All lessons are one-to-one and take place online. Each lesson lasts 55 minutes. Lessons are based on the book or audio you have chosen and the assignment I give you before each lesson.

My approach is based on each student’s specific needs and interests and how they wish to speak English in real-world situations. When you learn English with me, you build your vocabulary to become a more natural, confident English speaker.

The books you choose depend on your English speaking goals. I have lots of experience helping students find the books to support their learning and achieve their goals, so I can make suggestions, should you need my help.

Because each course is tailored to fit the individual student, there is no typical length. The course content and duration will depend on your goals. It will also depend on your motivation and available free time for learning English.

My name is Martin Pope and I am the instructor for all English Differently courses. I am English and live in Manchester, in the North West of England. I have a Trinity TESOL qualification. I have been teaching English for over 16 years.

All my English classes are remote, usually via Zoom.

A 55-minute lesson costs £26.36 You can pay by Stripe or bank transfer. If your country is under sanctions, you may need to obtain a payment card registered in a non-sanctioned country. Alternatively, if you have friends or family with this type of card, you could ask them to pay for you. I do not offer discounts for bulk buying of lessons in advance.

English Differently offers flexible tutoring. You can reschedule your lesson for another time or day before it begins.

Yes. Homework is a vital part of your programme. The most effective learning happens when you are working on your own. We give you assignments to prepare for each lesson in addition to reading or listening to your chosen book or British Studies audio.
